CDC Expands Covid Booster Shot Eligibility List

Includes the elderly, the immunocompromised, and healthcare workers.

Last week, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced their endorsement of booster shots for not only Americans over the age of 65, but also for health care workers aged 18 to 64 years that regularly work around those who are infected. The CDC advisers panel had only recommended booster shots for the elderly, but Directory Rochelle Walensky expanded the list to include health care workers.

“As CDC Director, it is my job to recognize where our actions can have the greatest impact,” Director Walensky said in a statement late Thursday night. “At CDC, we are tasked with analyzing complex, often imperfect data to make concrete recommendations that optimize health. In a pandemic, even with uncertainty, we must take actions that we anticipate will do the greatest good.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Director Walensky to seek God’s wisdom as she heads the CDC.
  • For the CDC to follow the research and science in issuing recommendations.
  • For Americans to turn to the Lord for healing.
